Meet our Executive Director ~ Rebecca Murray
Born in a small Midwestern town, the oldest of 4, I learned at an early age what it was like to supervise and care for a family. My brothers would just say I’m bossy. Growing up, my mother experienced poor health. I learned a lot of management skills early on.
I grew up going with my grandparents to visit their friends either in their own homes or in nursing homes. I was taught to respect the elderly and love the stories and wisdom they could share.
Shortly after graduating from high school, I married my high school sweetheart and three years later we started our own family.
Our family now consists of two daughters, one son, two son-in-laws, a daughter-in-law, three grandsons, and a granddaughter along with our cat and numerous grandpets.
John and I spent 38 years in the construction business, mainly in residential building and land development. In 2005 we followed my dream and started construction on Parkhaven Assisted Living. In the spring of 2006 the doors opened with both independent and assisted living available.
After serving as the Administrative Director of Parkhaven for 5 years I was acutely aware of the need to expand our services. Adjusting to a new facility is very hard for the elderly, especially those with memory issues. So in the fall of 2014, skilled and memory care was added to our licensing. This allows our residents to age in place.
We have lived in the Gallatin Valley for 42 years and are fortunate to spend most of our time with those who have made Montana and the United States what it is.
